Grameen bank also known as the ‘banker of the poor’ is a micro-finance model which works toward poverty alleviation. It is based in Bangladesh and its founder Professor Muhammad Yunus was awarded the Noble Peace Prize 2006 for Grameen bank’s impact of poverty alleviation.
